This document forms a part of the Terms and Conditions of Use of Cards4Friends.com and should be read in conjunction with it. In the event of any inconsistency between the two documents the Terms and Conditions of Use shall prevail.

About this Privacy Policy

We respect the privacy of all individuals who visit cards4friends.com (the Site) and all individuals who share their information with us in order to use the services we provide. That is why we at Cards4Friends.com have adopted a strict privacy policy as set out below.

What information do we collect?

When you visit the Site we can only recognise your IP address. We will see your e-mail address only if you fill it in one of our fields and submit this information, or if you contact us by e-mail.

If you provide personally identifiable information about yourself such as your name, e-mail address, or other in order to use the services we provide, or in e-mail messages sent to us, we will collect and retain that information.

When you register as a Member of cards4friends.com we need to know your name, contact e-mail address and other details that are set out on the registration form. You can only complete the mandatory fields if you wish. This personal information allows us to activate your Member status and provide the additional services you will be entitled to through your membership.

What else do we do with this information?

In addition, we may use the personal information for marketing purposes, market research, and tracking of Site use data. This will help us improve our services. We may also use your e-mail address to contact you occasionally to notify you about important changes to the Site, new services, special offers, or other events we think will be of interest to you.

How can you change the information we hold about you?

If you do not want to receive information from us or wish us to delete the personal information you have submitted through the Site please send an e-mail to us at personalinfo@cards4friends.com.

Other information we collect that cannot identify you personally

We may collect information that does not identify you personally, such as the type of internet browser and operating system you use, or the domain name of the website or the advertisement from which you linked to the Site. This information is logged automatically whichever website you visit.

Contents of all electronic cards are considered private correspondence between the sender and the recipient. We will not disclose the contents of any card other than to the intended recipient, except under the specific situations outlined in the


section of this policy (See below).

We will not monitor or edit the contents of the electronic cards you send. However, occasionally we may need to view your message in connection with the technical processing of your card or the maintenance of our network, or if you have requested assistance that involves one of our customer service representatives to access the information about the card.

Other sites

This Privacy Policy applies to this Site and services that we provide at Cards4Friends.com. We do not exercise control over the sites we may be providing links to.

Protection of personal information

As required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we follow strict security measures in the storage and disclosure of personal information to prevent unauthorised access. Only the data controllers, who are registered with the Data Protection Commissioner, have access to the personal information.


We may disclose your personal information to any of our affiliated companies, to our agents or representatives. This may mean that your personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area.

  • protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of Cards4Friends.com, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.

In a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of Cards4Friends.com assets, we will provide notice on our Site before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.


By using the Site you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as stated above. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post a notice to that effect on the Site and such change will be effectual from the date on which that notice is posted.


Please note, that your online privacy and security is limited by the well-known vulnerability to illegal interception, of information shared by you over the internet and any online services you may be using.
